Grand Entryway to Living Room

with Water Feature

Enter at the heart of this winged home, where the foyer expands to a grand staircase, surrounded by stack-bond brick, custom railings, and open-tread flagstone steps – behind which windows beckon to your “living room in the sky.” The original wood Pella accordion doors grace the entry closets, complimenting the wood tongue-and-groove ceiling effortlessly. The foyer and landing offers just enough space for receiving and welcoming guests comfortably while everyone removes their coats for the evening.

The home is divided into two distinct wings nurturing a central entertainment area. To the left, the three quiet and comforting upper bedrooms, to the right the kitchen, laundry, and dining spaces.

Take in the spectacular 270° view of the city through giant panes of glass in a dramatic space made cozy by natural brick, vaulted wood ceilings, and a stone fireplace wall with the gentle sound of a cascading indoor water feature.

The immediate detail of the Sputnik chandelier is a hint to the period correct nature of all the fixtures to come as you tour.

Exposed beams and tongue-and-groove ceilings flow seamlessly through the glass to the wrap-around deck. With natural materials abound the line between indoor and outdoor has nearly vanished.

The original Water Feature is fully functional, and offers a soothing respite from the bustle of city life.
